The Munay Ki Initiations:
Shamanic Technologies to Heal the Luminous Body

   We live in a time of great upheaval, challenge and change.
An alarming avalanche of events is unfolding that shows no sign of abating but is, rather, growing larger and bleaker, as if bent on heading towards some great cataclysmic conflagration. We are heading towards an upheaval so great that some cultures, such as the Maya, have seen fit to simply terminate their calendars at its apex.

   I’m referring of course to the prophecies pertaining to December  21st 2012.    There are many different theories and explanations as to what will happen when we cross that threshold. Time will reveal the truth… but one thing is becoming clearer to many and that is that something more is required of us, something greater, an alternative to the same old tired approaches that have led us to the very edge of this precipice.  If we are to survive - and the jury seems to be still out on this - we will need to come up with a better paradigm - a better way to live on this planet - than the one that has delivered us to this present moment.

   Enter the shamans of an ancient and advanced culture:  the Laika, healers and teachers of the Inca civilization. Their descendants live still, high in the mountains and the jungles of Peru.  For the past 25 years the Laika have been releasing their teachings into Dr. Alberto Villoldo’s care, that he may spread them in the West to prepare those who would heed them for the coming changes.

   The shift that needs to take place is, of course, an internal one: a shift within you and me. This shift cannot come from the mind – we can see all too well where the ‘reign of the mind’ has led us. Nor can it come only from the heart. Effectively what is needed is a great transformative healing of the human species, a healing so deep and vast that all of our dimensions, mind and heart included, will be transformed in its wake. The Laika have long known that in order to be effective, any healing must be addressed at the dimension of Spirit. Any healing that is aimed solely at the physical, emotional or psychic levels is little better than applying a bandaid to a tumour – it does not address the hidden issue.

   The Munay Ki are the 9 Initiation Rites of the Laika and they are crafted to work directly on the Luminous Body, the spiritual ‘envelope’ or ‘aura’ that surrounds the physical body and that carries and stores the imprints of past impressions such as trauma and abuse from our past, our genetic inheritance and even imprints from past lives.
These Nine Rites, as their names suggest, are tailored to affect different aspects of our being as well as the multi-dimensional levels of our existence. These are the Rites:

The Healer’s Rite
The Bands of Power Rite
The Harmony Rite
The Seer’s RiteThe Daykeeper’s Rite
The Wisdomkeeper’s Rite
The Earthkeeper’s Rite
The Starkeeper’s Rite
The Creator Rite

   The last of these, the Creator Rite, was transmitted from one human to another for the first time in 2006.
Collectively these nine Rites will plant within you the seeds containing the blueprint required to transform you from Homo Sapiens into Homo Luminous, the new human for the new age.

   The Munay Ki seeds are fire-seeds, in order to grow they need to be nourished with fire. Therefore, once received, the seeds planted by the initiations must be grown with Fire Ceremonies to prevent them from being utterly depleted and used up by our healing processes. These simple and elegant Fire Ceremonies become part of our personal spiritual practice.

   There is a refreshing simplicity within these Initiations that stems from the fact that they do not seek to address the mind; and yet, even without explanation, the mind is satisfied as the Rites soon begin to “reveal” themselves and their inherent “logic” to the initiate. The form of this revelation may differ from person to person. Speaking for myself, I am satisfied every time I experience the ineffable lucidity that washes over me whenever I do the fire-ceremonies. Whatever the mood I’m in, it is a guaranteed shift that never fails to delight me. For Sa, my wife, the rites surpass the mind, revealing their worth in the growing synchronicities and deepening love and acceptance of every living being. She is utterly content in the recognition of the beauty in everything that keeps presenting itself more and more each day. Each of us, in different ways, revels in the knowing that our growth is guaranteed (at last).

   Something must be said about the benefits of taking such a process onboard. Within the first few months of embracing this path we have noticed what the Munay Ki has done and continues to do for us:

  • Strengthens our relationship with others
  • Clears our energy fields
  • Expands the flow of healing energy available to us
  • Develops our relationship with the luminous enlightened Laika Beings
  • Helps us release past trauma

  • Keeps us protected from negative energies
  • Assists us to become less judgmental and more accepting
  • Keeps us from engaging in drama
  • Encourages response to life's offerings
  • Reaction becomes more and more a thing of the past
  • Enables us to trust life
  • Empowers us to create a new loving world
  • Accelerates our cellular changes as we evolve
  • Gives us a true knowing of Onenes

   Once you have received these Initiations they are yours to do with as you wish: you can grow them through regular Fire Ceremonies, you can gift them to others once you’ve mastered them and imbibed their energies, or you can throw them away…

   This may seem as an odd thing to say, but I want to underscore an important truth that may not be readily apparent. These magnificent processes are powerful, they can work miraculous transformation, but without YOUR co-operation and commitment they are utterly useless.
YOU are the catalyst, YOURS is the power to heal, to create or to destroy.
If you are looking for a teaching that will change your life without requiring any commitment or input from you, then this teaching is probably not for you.
