Greetings to you my sister, my brother.

The need for healing has always been present and perhaps always will be.  For it is a condition of embodiment that we are wounded - through the simple act of entering into the world - let alone by what happens to us after that... and then there is also the matter of the luggage that we carry with us from countless previous lives: how we have suffered, how we reacted and how we died.  All of these events from the past are stored in our Luminous Energy Field.

In our Field these past events - whether real or perceived - create within us affinities for certain events to repeat themselves,  sometimes over and over. We may be accident prone,  we may develop arthritis, breast or prostate cancer or we may find that we marry the same kind of person, over and over.

We also live in a world where the predominant consciousness is in denial about the invisible world. Where the blessed earth that we live and play and work on is mistreated, abused and plundered to feed our incessant need for more.

We are disconnected.  We feel alone.  We want to find peace and love and hope and do not know where to begin.

Enter shamanism.  This ancient and deeply connected spirituality has survived since ancient times because its message is SO pertinent and SO simple; in this incredibly complex and convoluted world it embodies the simplicity of truth.

We have allowed our egos and our minds to lead us astray.   We have forgotten everything of importance and have come to believe the illusions of our mind's projections onto the canvas of the world.  We have fallen out of ayni, out of right relationship, with Mother Earth and Father Sun, with our relatives, the animals, and with the elements.  We no longer recognise that the world of Spirit is primary to all the other worlds. And the irony is, we do not even realise how close the truth is, how close at hand happiness and peace and hope and love truly are.

The shamans teach us that all we have to do is to change our perception and - puff! - the world changes in an instant.  All of our sadness and sorrow, all of our fear and anger, these vanish in an instant when we finally face the truth of who we really are.  Then, when "stuff comes up", we no longer experience it as the end of the world - on the contrary, stuff comes up because we are simply ready to heal it.

To be sure, sometimes what comes up - what is triggered within us- feels like a death. Yet we should not allow ourselves to wallow in the presenting "story" and to fall into the victim spiral, for the story is just a trigger (version 16 of something that happened when you were 4 months old or version 137 of something that happened 23 lifetimes ago).  To try and fix it at the level of the presenting "story" is completely pointless.  It is at such times that shamanic healing can prove itself invaluable.

Shamanic healing reaches past the mind (thank god), past the phyisical body and past the emotions to work directly on the Luminous Energy Field.  By re-establishing sacred reciprocity (ayni) our inner and outer worlds are brought back into balance and healing can take place.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A HEALING

Well, it is difficult for me to say exactly because I often don't know myself, until it happens.  Usually I will first spend some time clearing superficial energies from your field that can get in the way of the healing by using my drum, rattles, feathers and oils.  Next we will spend a little time talking about version #16 or #137 of what's happening, and use that as a portal to access what lies within.  Then, using my mesa, I will start to work to clear the imprint from the Luminous Energy Field.  From here the healing can go in a number of directions: we might do an illumination or an extraction (crystalline or fluid).  Usually I will also do a decoupling if the fight or flight syndrome has been permanently activated.  Always the journey follows an intuitive route and I employ whatever techniques or tools are needed to implement the shift.

There is aways some homework for the client.  It is in your best interest to implement this in order to anchor the healing and prevent a re-lapse.  How many sessions you will need may depend on some of the following factors:

• upon how much attachment you have to the perceived "benefits" of your imprint
• upon your readiness to descend deeply and courageously into your own process
• upon your resistance to accepting the healing
• upon affecting the changes in your life that keep you locked into the imprint
• upon how easily you allow yourself to remember or forget the truth

I am an apprentice on this path of Energy Medicine and I am constantly adding new tools and techniques to the processes I already use.  But even more important than this, I have the energetic backing of a lineage of Peruvian shamans known as the Laika (see Munay Ki).  It is this lineage that informs and orchestrates the healing so that in a sense, I am their tool.

Besides my current apprenticeship I also draw upon a background of previous shamanic and transpersonal training. It has been influenced most of all by my enduring passion for tribal ways including the sweat lodge and the Vision Quest. I use techniques picked up during the Spirit Walk of my current life.  In my healings I incorporate aspects of sound healing, harmonics, and of re-evaluation co-counselling.

But in the end, regardless of past training and techniques used, the most important thing I offer is a reverence for all life steeped in an understanding of our Oneness, our commonality.  That we are not merely wounded and lost human beings having the occasional spiritual experience but that we are in fact (all of us) Spiritual Beings embarked on our own unique journey, and in the process having a profound human experience.

My mission is to assist people to realize that though pain does happen in life, suffering is just a product of the illusions of the mind and totally unnecessary. That we can all learn to live lives that are rich, abundant, connected, loving and sweet.
